My newest choon. Once again, Battery and FM8 are at the front of this one. The midrange of this choon I am not completely happy with but it does work with the track so I am cool with it. I wanted something more modular. Maybe later. I also find that I love the snare in this track. I made it pretty well, it really snaps. I like this song the most since it tends to have much more going on compared to The Music Maker, I think this one shows what I am capable of. Also, there seems to be alot of interplay between the sounds that create different illusions of reality even though the individual parts remain the same. I like the middle section where the bass subs out and the lead keyboard comes back. The bass and the lead play very well together, better than I expected. Hope you guys dig this one. I did.

This is a remix that I put together of a song by Garbage that I came across by accident. I had purchased one of their CDs for a completely different reason and found this choon. It seemed to me to just beg for a remix. I kept the choon pretty much as it was with a few extensions and of course the drums added. I felt the Amen and Think where simply perfect for the high energy and cool off sections. I hope you enjoy.

This is my first choon to use Battery and FM8. I found that I really really love FM synthesis. The midrange bass sound is of my own creation. The drums are samples from every where such as Hot Hot Heat and Billy Jean all layered and EQed to create a completely different sound. Todate, I think this track is by far the best I have written. It is profound for me because I feel I actually got the hang of drum and bass drum production. Also my skills with mixing down have improved greatly. I didn't even shelf this one. |
